Earl Jimison was one of my best friends ever! He was a great husband and father, brother and son. He passed away in 2005. After attending SIUE for two years, Earl served two years in the United States Army, being honorable discharged in 1968. His first wife preceded him in death. To that union were born two daughters, who Earl continued to raise. In 2001 Earl married Dietrich Holmes, who he left behind to cherish his memories. Earl retired from United Parcel Service after 30 years of service. A avid sports fan, Earl followed his beloved Flyers both home and away. Whether football, basketball or track, it was not unusual to find Earl in the stands. If you counted Earl among your best friends, as did I, you were indeed a blessed person.
