Whitey was one of my best friends growing up. We played little league baseball together but on different teams. He was on a team called (Tigers) The coach's name was Tony, so they came to be known as Tony's Tigers.
Whitey was a quite and soft spoken person. The last time I saw him he came and stayed a few days with my wife and I back in 1965. He was in the navy at that time.
