Peggy Youngblood Walls

I married David Walls and had one son, David Walls Jr. I divorced after 10 years of marriage, and never married again. I graduated from Southern Illinois University with an undergraduate degree in Social Work in 1968. I obtained a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Missouri of Kansas City in 1985. I worked for the state of Missouri from October, 1968 until I retired in June 1997. I became a born again Christian on January 8, 1978, and I am active in my church. I am currently working as the Program Manager for Friendship Inn which is a Hospital Hospitality House. We provide temporary housing for people who are receiving services at Kansas University Hospital. I am looking forward to retiring again on December 31, 2013. I hope to volunteer for the American Red Cross and have fun with my 2 grandchildren who live in Texas, my granddaughter who is graduating from college this year, and one great granddaughter who is 10 months old. I write and I am active in a writer's group called Feather Pens. I hope to publish my series of 4 novels after I retire.

I had knee replacement in February and it has been wonderful to not have pain when I walk and exercise. Yeah for knee replacements. An old high school friend who graduated a year before we did contacted me after 40 years. We had so much to talk about. What a treat.

My favorite memory is of the play we presented as seniors. It was called "Denny and the Witches." It was fun working on the set, costumes, and props.
